Ray's Story

For Ray, the words “you have cancer” changed everything. What was meant to be a short hospital stay turned into months of surgeries, setbacks, and the overwhelming question of when - or if - life would ever feel normal again. In those darkest days, Ray and his wife realized they couldn’t face this journey alone. While friends and family stepped in to help with meals, childcare, and daily needs, The Ottawa Cancer Foundation became an anchor. From the moment his wife discovered the Foundation and programs, they found a source of comfort, strength, and guidance that carried them through the most difficult fight of their lives.
